Then it's off to beautiful Taboga Island for some well-deserved beach time. It's the perfect mix of excitement and chill vibes, all wrapped up in one unforgettable day on the water.

What's in Store

Our trip starts bright and early as we head out on our trusty Bertram 31' - a classic sportfishing boat that's perfect for cruising Panama's inshore waters. We'll spend the first part of the day dropping lines and hunting for some of the area's most popular gamefish. Think hard-fighting Jack Crevalle that'll test your drag, or the lightning-fast runs of Pacific Barracuda. Once we've had our fill of fishing action, we'll point the bow towards Taboga Island. Known as the "Island of Flowers," it's a slice of paradise just waiting for you to kick back and soak it all in.

Jack Crevalle: These bruisers are like the bulldogs of the sea. They're not picky eaters and will crush just about any lure you throw their way. When a Jack hits, hold on tight! They're known for powerful runs that'll have you grinning from ear to ear. Best of all, they're around pretty much year-round in Panama.

Pacific Barracuda: With a mouthful of razor-sharp teeth and a bad attitude to match, 'cudas are always a blast to catch. They're ambush predators, so we often find them hanging around structure or edges of bait schools. When they hit, it's like lightning - fast, powerful, and gone in a flash. Watching them sky on a topwater lure is a sight you won't soon forget.

Bonito: Don't let their small size fool you - these little rockets punch well above their weight class. Part of the tuna family, Bonito are speed demons that'll smoke your drag if you're not careful. They often travel in schools, so when you find them, the action can be non-stop. Perfect for keeping the kids (or the kid in all of us) entertained!

Sierra Mackerel: These sleek predators are like the sports cars of the fish world. With their streamlined bodies and blazing speed, they're a blast on light tackle. We often find them patrolling the edges of reefs or rocky points. When they're in a feeding frenzy, the surface action can be incredible - you might even see them leaping clear out of the water chasing bait.
